The Begining

Before I make you smile and pose for me for the better part of an hour, lets get to know each other a little first.

First off, I am a wife to a work-from-home husband and mother of two small children. We spend every day all day together, and spend more than our fair share of time rolling on the floor laughing... literally.

I have lived in the Wasatch Valley for 8 years, and in Utah County for 6. I have always found great beauty in the mountains and valleys that surrounds us and call myself lucky to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

I have had an interest in photography for the better part of 12 years. Capturing the picture perfect landscapes around us are where my interest started. As I planned my own wedding, I saw a new beauty in preserving the fresh overly optimistic look of new love. And then of course as I became a mother- I saw nothing more beautiful in this world than my son and daughter. They became the constant subjects of my upwards of 1000 images a month.

In addition to my personal work, I have enjoyed the opportunity to photography family weddings and portraits for friends at an increasing rate in the last 2 years.
The truth is.... I would love to be my friend or own sister-in-law because as it turns out that package includes great pictures often.

Many people have encouraged me to set up a site and set out to make photography a career.
I was content doing things for people I knew, and filling hard drive after hard drive of my sweet kiddos every move.

Then I went online to find somebody to do our family pictures this year and found that most people are charging upwards of $350 for a very average product.
I thought I deserved a beautiful image for a lot less money.
And if I deserve it, so do you.

So I decided to go for it.
I think everyone should be able to preserve a piece of their special event or young family without it costing as much as a piece of furniture. You should not need to save to have family pictures every few years, but have them as often as possible for something more like the cost of a nice dinner.
I would totally sacrifice a family dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory for family pictures... and I really like The Old Spaghetti Factory.

So that is my goal here.
Great pictures at a reasonable price.

After all I am not doing this to make a dollar, but because it is something I enjoy. It is a wonderful experience to share a clients photos with them and have them be overwhelmingly positive.

Here is a sample of my work, a place to build a portfolio, and hopefully gain clients.

I look forward to working with you soon.

Crystal
